WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., condemned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday by claiming he had committed war crimes while defending his country from Hamas terrorists.
“Genocidal maniac,” Rep. Tlaib, a member of the ultra-progressive congressional group "The Squad," jeered in a fiery Instagram story post.
“Every member of Congress who sits down with this murderer is supporting a war criminal," she continued. "We will never ever forget.”The post was one of several in a string condemning Israel and President Joe Biden for continuing to support the Jewish state's war efforts.
Rep. Tlaib, who is Palestinian-American, has been a fierce supporter of Palestine as the war continues between Hamas terrorists and Israel. She was censured by Congress in November in connection to her rhetoric about the war.

The censureship has hardly dampened her language, however. On Veterans Day, she recognized “courageous veterans” working with her to petition for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Other members of “The Squad” have rallied behind Rep. Tlaib to pressure politicians to support a ceasefire. Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., recently deleted a post suggesting a Palestinian hospital was bombed by a U.S.-made missile. His post claimed the bomb was a “R9X Hellfire missile,” which uses spinning blades to inflict damage rather than exploding.
Also speaking out was Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., who called for "balance" when reacting to war crimes while discussing Hamas terrorists' rapes of Israeli women.

Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., has condemned “The Squad,” saying their stances are unacceptable.
“It’s truly disturbing that Members of Congress rushed to blame Israel for the hospital tragedy in Gaza,” Sen. Fetterman wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter. “Who would take the word of a group that just massacred innocent Israeli civilians over our key ally?”
