Centre Co., PA (WJAC) — It’s festival and carnival week in Centre County, with numerous events in State College, Philipsburg, Centre Hall and Rebersburg.
The 29th edition of the People’s Choice Festival of Pennsylvania Arts and Crafts kicked off Thursday morning at the Grange Fairgrounds in Centre Hall.
Organizers say it’s been over two decades since volunteers first came together to make this occasion possible.
The year 1993 showed roughly 50 vendors while this year, the festival will feature over 200 artists, dozens of food vendors, and 40 acts are scheduled to perform on the two stages.
“There’s a lot of people that come here, at least for me, year after year, because they bought something from me the year, so we’re getting repeat business.”
The event runs through Sunday with over 100,000 people expected to attend.
